After qualifying in 1988 from Newcastle University, I spent two years in general practice in the north-east, joining Thurmaston Dental Practice in 1990.
I did move back to Nottingham for a few years while my boys were young. Fortunately I had an opportunity to return to the practice, which I took and have remained here since.
Restoring confidence in nervous patients, and getting them to feel comfortable with attending regularly are aspects of dentistry I find rewarding.
I enjoy running, mountain walking and skiing, although alot of spare time is taken up being “mum’s taxi” to my two sons.
