What can I do to cure a toothache?
If you have a bad toothache and your gums begin to flare up it is recommended you give us a call. The NHS website http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Toothache/Pages/Introduction.aspx recommends painkillers such paracetamol and ibuprofen, that may reduce the pain and discomfort while you’re waiting for an appointment. Children under 16 years of age shouldn’t be given aspirin. Do not exceed the maximum dose.
My gums are swelling what should I do?
Commonly caused by the build-up of plaque, it can lead to redness, bleeding, soreness and swelling. Swollen gums are a common problem and can be very painful and discomforting. If your gum swelling lasts for more than 1 day, you should get in touch with a dentist.
What should I do if I broke my tooth?
Teeth are remarkably strong and go through a lot when tooth chips or breaks it can be painful! The nerve inside the tooth can be damaged; the pain can be severe when it gets exposed to air, cold foods or drinks. It is strongly recommended you visit a dentist, in the meantime place a cold pack to the area of the broken tooth.
What if I have lost an implant or a tooth?
Be sure to keep your tooth or implant safe and it can potentially be re-implanted into its socket. Be sure to place the tooth or implant in an air-tight seal bag to protect it from bacteria and germs. Get in touch with us as soon as possible.
What should I do with my broken denture?
Broken dentures can usually be repaired without a hassle. Please do not glue them together yourself as tempting as this sounds; as this makes the repair process difficult. Contact us to get your denture repaired.
